Had the worst luck possible where both the main file and backup were corrupted as well as Blender not making any autosaves for some reason but I managed to finish it.

Your design is really cool and this model helped me practice a new Blender feature I've found.

i could CRYYYY i literally just woke up after some nightmares and was feelin pretty bad but i saw this and instantly my evening was made so much better :DD i love how you depicted him, he looks as grumpy as ever < 33 and his battle-ready stance in in the turnaround omg omg omg??? im so blown away THANK YOU like i love your modeling style so much. and im so glad that as much trouble as he gave you, he helped you tinker with a new blender feature :D that's always fun!!
btw, would you mind giving me the blend file for him? itd be fun to play around with him in my own time, but i understand if you don't wanna do that! just know im super thankful and love your art to absolute bits  < 333

wow, you do great work! i’m sure it takes a while to make those models, so i’ll give you a character that shouldn’t be too straining. her name is Aisling, and she’s my OC/mascot. sometimes she appears in my music videos as a cameo character. she’s gone through a few redesigns as i’ve changed up my drawing style, and this is her current iteration... hopefully for a while hehe

Checks out, you were working with what's known as the "catastrophe" Pokemon xD
This came out marvelous, the battle stance is very fitting for the chara, I already imagine the model in a dedicated videogame! ^^

Very interesting art-style to try and convert into 3D. I like 2000s anime art-styles but damn is it hard to translate to the third dimension. It was hard to not make it look like a person wearing a big anime girl mask.

Oh yeah gotta apologies for the spinning gif having such a low resolution. With gifs, you have to either sacrifice resolution, framerate or compression so the file isn't more than 10MBs. You need lossless compression for art or it'll look awful so it's either low resolution or 6 frames per second.

I have this for a reference, it's not particularly good and I felt kind of forced to make it in the moment. I hope you get enough information to reconstruct the drawing in 3D.


Btw I haven't posted anything noteworthy to my furaffinity in a long while (not exactly safe for work, so I won't post a direct link to it. you'll have to trust my words), so at least I would have something to show if you don't mind, I'll mark it as a gift in the title and give proper credits in the description.

This is really cool! You already have so many submissions, if you don't do this one I'd understand, but let me raise you this tree:



Life's an angry little god, but also just a lemon tree. The turnaround isn't perfect, I'm not all that happy with their trunk anymore, which refuses to stay at a consistent length across drawings. Life has perpetually bad posture, which makes them look even shorter than they already are, and I guess I lack a proper reference for their true trunk height.




That being said, I've been told turnarounds like this are super super useful to 3D artists! So I hope this is good.

Oh, and a little note: Life has deep red eyes with white pupils, but that doesn't come across in my more simplified drawings. (You can see it here)
