i have two instagram accounts. one for everyone like friends and aquaintances, and one for close friends where i post dumb pics. sometimes ill post pictures/screenshots of what im working on the latter. i also sometimes text my friends on discord, if that counts? but i dont really post my site publicly other than maybe linked on an account or two.

for the sake of this discussion, everything counts! there's no agreed upon definition of social media*, so use the one that makes sense to you. i'm interested in hearing about how people feel about sharing their links anywhere online.

ah, interesting! i do post about my site, but i still feel like putting a link in a bio of an account (especially when a website field is provided) feels different than giving the same link it's own post. the former might only be visible if someone is looking at my profile specifically, while the latter could be shown to anybody, so there's different levels of publicness.

for me social media doesnt exist as a tool to connect with others so much as an experience i must opt-in to if i want to browse and peruse things i care about, so honestly updating people about my site wpuld be pretty antithetical to how i use it haha! when i do update people abt my site its maybe like 1-3 people that ill message privately if i was talking abt it to them recently; but personally I wouldn't concider that social media use. tbh now that i think abt it my internet habits are pretty hermetic as it is. It's prob a fear of being known kind of thing
