It's not much but i thought the oxygen kde theme with a specific icon pack i installed would go well together, thought they both look nice! i also grabbed a hatsune miku wallpaper to go with it too cause i thought that would also fit, heheh..

Here's my refreshed desktop from my gaming/portable modeling laptop! It's Win 10 and its also my first time trying out WinBlinds themes, omg they are super polished! ~ I was going for a kinda 2007 vibe? Like almost Win Vista but not quite ~ Im really happy with the outcome! @tarraxahum also yes Im using one of your drawings as a profile pic, I might change it out, but this ones good for now!

Its XMPlay using a skin - Download XMPlay, unzip it and make a folder called "skins", then put the skin files in there. (then select it in settings)

Also if you setup XMPlay, I recommend installing the RabbitHole visualizer. (Run the exe to install and set the directory as the XMPlay folder - also don't forget to increase the vis refresh rate in settings or it'll look rough)

And finally I recommend the You Wa Shock! DSP plugin (its basically an EQ) - to install, make a "plugins" folder in your XMPlay folder and then unzip the YWS plugin to it. Open XMPlay and go to settings and select Plugins ~ Then click "Add" to add a new DSP wrapper, then click "Config", select "YOU WA SHOCK!" and check then "Enabled" box ~ you should see an extra YWS window appear and you can mess with its settings (you can also close the YWS window when your done and it will still work ~ I recommend 50% dial, C mode, but it depends on your headphones/speakers)

I mostly use it for mod files, but it plays MP3s natively and a few others too; there are also plugins for things like FLAC.

Well since I'm here may as well share my current desktop for the collection - I couldn't get any themes to work, but I did install RetroBar and OpenShell for the menu! I also got the WallpaperEngine, so that background is actually animated (it's raining)

How do you get modern windows to look like that, it's so much cooler!!!!

okay, i'll show u how. now take a deeeeeeeeep breath.

• Download this theme. Place it in C:\Windows\Resources\Themes
• Use a theme patcher like SecureUXTheme. You'll have to restart for the theme patcher to start working.
• Get DWMBlurGlassand move it to C:\. After running it, click install and enable the options shown in the attatchment. Feel free to tinker with some of the other options to make the Aero glass look how you want. Move over to the symbol tab and click Download. You may have to redownload the symbol files if you update Windows.
• Get StartIsBack and apply the Windows 7 theme. You can also give the taskbar a transparency or Aero glass effect if you want.
• Download OldNewExplorer and extract and run it. Enable whichever options you want.
• Get 7tsp and this theme for it. After opening the program, click "Add a Custom Pack" and select the theme (It should be a zip file.)

There's many other tweaks you can do such as bringing back legacy flyouts and changing system sounds but the steps above should get you 95% of the way to a practically indistiguishable Windows 7 theme. I recommend heading over to the Winclassic forums for other tweaks
Notes: This won't work on Windows 11. You'll probably have to install some Windhawk mods and use some different software to do it. The Aero theme may not look right at scaling other than 100%. I've been able to workaround this by setting a scale between 100% and 125%. Doing this disables UI scaling for at least the frames. Which makes them look as intended.
WARNING: Parts of the rice may break after updates or even flat out randomly. I recommend disabling automatic updates so you can at least prevent Windows from self-destructing.
there may be easier ways to do this but this is how i did it.

I'm running windows 10 with retro bars Xp Embedded Style. It doesn't take much resources on my Pc so I usually have it running. This is my Christmas theme I have, Idk what Imma go for next. Probably something still winter related :p.

I have no idea why image looks so shitty, oh well ¯\_(-_-")_/¯
