How did you come up with your username? Why did you choose it?

I think I've spent an hour or so reading this entire thread. This was fascinating and I wish my origin story was interesting! I had already been building my website before I chose a name, and I just needed ANY username. I looked down at my keyboard and saw two keys. Slapped them together and called it a day

It has no specific meaning, it's mostly gibberish, but it is actually a shortened version/acronym of a longer username I wanted to go by but decided against. I also like the letter W, which is the starting letter of one of many names I have gone by; it also reminds me of water. The 8s in my username, well, the first 8 is an 8 which has no meaning... but the second 8 I stylize as an infinity symbol. Originally I intended to stylize both 8s as an infinity symbol, but it looked weird, so now I just do it for the latter. Most websites don't really support special characters for usernames though! So, w8n8 it is.

[camelwize]

It doesn't have an actual meaning as such, I just wanted something that sounded very "username-y", like the kinda username I would have picked as a kid using the internet for the first time. (I only chose the name very recently as I wanted a new online persona)

Plus I like the sound of "camelCase" so that was in my head and I decided to go with camelwise but spelt wize because.. I'm not even sure. I think the wize part was me just guaranteeing the name wasn't already in use by not using a real word.

Went with lowercase because lowercase names feel more fun/less serious to me.

It wasn't part of the name choice but I also like the band Camel, and camels are pretty dope so that was a bonus.

As you can see there wasn't much actual logic to it, mostly went off vibes.
