Years ago I bought a big pack from Lidl that had glitter pens, fluorescent colours and metallic finishes  :cheerR: They were my best buddies when I was back into journalling. Unfortunately, many of them have dried up and had to donate them to the recycle bin... but the survivors might be making a comeback soon or later. They are almost all metallic ones, and I've noticed they scan in an interesting way, almost 3D-ish

YES gelpens. I had tons of gel pens as a kid, wish I could remember the brand but I think it was noname. It wasn't expensive, pretty cheap with lots of colors like 40?. Glitter, neon, normal gel pens all in one pack. The glitter ones were my favorite. I mainly used them to color in coloring books and magazines from Diddl.

Today I own a pack of Gelly Roll Moonlight, a white uniball signo and 2 cheap packages from wish called queen gel pens (most of them are dried out now, I recently sorted them out). The gelly roll are my favorite, would love to get another pack of a different color variation sometime.

I like Uniball Signo.

Fountain pens have replaced gel pens for me for the most part, but gel pens are still my top disposable pens. Both types of pens have the quality I look for, which is very low amounts of hand pressure to make marks.

I used to have all sorts of random non branded, and there's a place that still sells non branded, but these days they are so terrible?? I literally used a single pen empty on 1 piece of like A5 paper. It wrote so well, glided perfectly, the color was good and glittery - but the gel/ink was completely run out in one go. Wtf????

I wish I had more though, like I wouldn't mind spendning a tiny bit of money if the gel lasted for more than one sheet of paper hahah

I got some of those Gelly Roll pens at Micheal's recently. I left there the first time with the wrong color (Moonlight/light grey). So yesterday I went back and got a 3 pack of white ones along with my red and orange inks. I actually got them so I can use them like a white out. I always make mistakes and never have any white out, so I wanted a way to clean up those mistakes. Theyre pretty nice pens :3

I have tons of random gel pens from varying brands, mainly glitter gel pens. I also use white gelly rolls a lot. Honestly I just really love using them for art and writing. My favourite thing to do right now is to illustrate something and colour it entirely in glitter gel pen. It's so satisfying. I also do a lot of notetaking and whatnot with them

I have an entire 24ish page set of notes from when I was studying for my ham radio general exam in entirely pink gel pen!

I have a pink Pentel Energel I bought recently that I use for everything... best pen I ever had, has crazy smooth ink but unfortunately I'm out of refills. I have a Sarasa Clip as an alternative. I saw that Pentel released this line of Energel themed after japanese onomatopoeia and it's super cute and I really wanted it, but I'm trying to reduce my spending habits to only buy the things I don't have/really need.

I never used gel pens a lot when I was younger for some reason. Or cared about stationery much. I've borrowed classmates' Sarasa pens after they claimed that it's got the best ink but I think at the time I couldn't tell between ink quality (all throughout middle and highschool, I doodled and wrote using the world's shittiest blotchiest pens, my fingers and palms were more often than not covered in ink splotches because of it). Anyway, for the longest time I preferred ballpoint over gel because ballpoints tend to last longer (since ink doesn't flow out as viscously), but I changed my mind after getting an Energel. Sometimes I write for long periods of time in my diary and gel pens require less pressure to write.

Wow those are super cute! I know the feeling though, every time I go to a Japanese import/merchandise store at the mall I have to hold myself back from buying a thousand pens. They're always so amazing and it's hard to resist sometimes, haha. Maybe eventually I'll cave but I try to be good about it!

And yeah I 100% agree about the less pressure thing, I strongly prefer writing in gel pens for that reason. Especially when I have to write a lot very quickly, like when I was taking notes for that course. The teacher switched slides very quickly so I had to be good at writing everything I needed blazingly fast. I'm not always an efficient note-taker but I had to be then!
