Hi, I am new!

Hi, I've been lurking here for a little while and this is my first post! I'm 43 years old and American, and always very nostalgic for what the Internet was when it was new. This looks like a great place to stay in the loop about ideas for bringing back the old spirit, thanks for having me!

I've got a lot of hobbies! I like being outdoors and hiking and camping using minimal or vintage style gear. I'm interested in old things and history and I collect lots of stuff including postage stamps, war relics, old razors, typewriters, fountain pens, old camping gear and cookware. I like taking photos with vintage cameras. I also am an amateur archaeologist, and I have written and lectured on UFOs and other paranormal topics. I am the singer of a punk band too.

Here are some arrowheads I found in Massachusetts where I live, they are thousands of years old. Searching for them is relaxing and helps me unwind.

Hi Chris, welcome to the forum 

I knew someone in Maryland (I think) who collected arrow heads too; as someone from Europe the idea that you can just walk around and collect these things is fascinatingly unusual!

I don't get the opportunity to collect them; but Im a big fan of old camping stuff, pens and razors (I had a DE razor moment during the pandemic); I hope you'll share some pictures here or on your site! Whats the most interesting thing you've got in your collection?

As for UFOs and punk bands; it sounds like a really fun lifestyle Hope you enjoy your time here!
