I was browsing the forum and I've noticed a few topics which are very similar to already existing ones.
I'm referring to those that are about the same subject but don't add anything new to discuss or share about when compared to the previous ones.
For example, I've seen at least four topics about general anime talk:
Favorite anime or animated seriesAnime threadWhat Anime are You Currently Watching?favorite anime?Obviously there's nothing wrong with the topics themselves, but they're all so similar. Since replying to older posts is normal in this forum, I don't see why we should need making new topics about the
same exact thing after some time passes.
It feels messy. It's like splitting the same topic in two or more.
I mean, what if there were interesting replies in each of them and I wanted to reply to all of them? What if I wanted to quote someone from another topic? I can't split a discussion in two, it would be confusing and annoying.
One topic does the job just fine and better in my opinion.
Does anyone else feel the same way?
I hope I don't come off as rude, I just think that we should take a better look at previous topics when making new ones, especially when it's about a popular subject. Otherwise we might end up filling up the forum with redundant topics.
