I am amoenux (he/him), in my mid 20s and hyped to be part of this community.

Instead, here goes a little rant.

I set up a site in NeoCities at https://amoenux.neocities.org/ about a year ago, but have been missing the community aspect of it all.

Interacting with people is lots of fun, but the last time I was active in any forum was 10 or so years ago, inside of a life-destructive game, which I do not want to return to.

Now I am hoping to be on the part of the internet that creates, and shares, and laughs, and gets frustrated because those pesky html margins will not adjust to the display properly when resizing the window ... *exhales*

my name is squid. 30s/any pronouns/Oregon. I am a webcomic artist. I made my neocity a couple of years ago to host my comics and other artwork. I like to draw angels and gore <3 almost exclusively OCs, but I do fanart of my favorite books and video games from time to time.

I'm very active on tumblr, but tumblr is NOT. I can like and comment and reblog all day, but I'm still not connecting with the right people. I miss forums so bad, and LJ and old dA. I've been pining alone all this time. I sought, and sought, and now, I have found.

Hi there!  I'm arachnoFlora, and it's nice to meet you.
After a good week or two of making my personal site and lurking in the shadows of the Melonland Forum, I've finally stepped into the light and registered for an account.  It's very nice to be here.  Now that I am, though, I have to introduce myself!  I'll do my best.



Art is my favorite thing, but especially the art of communication; the way words get put together and how we feel about how words are put together.  Most people call this "writing," but, most people hear "writing" and don't get the whole picture!  Almost every piece of media you've consumed, at one point, had to consider how it was going to turn its ideas into a series of words that your brain could translate back into those ideas.  That deceptively nuanced process is my favorite thing.

Don't worry, I usually write less densely.

I love cats, and have two of them that I love very much.  My favorite food is Macaroni and Cheese.  Minecraft is my most played videogame across the length of my whole life.  I've been playing D&D for several years and GMing for a little over one year.  And, I have too many plushies to store comfortably in my bedroom.


I'm still learning how to "forum," so I hope this post comes out right!  If anyone out there has any knowledge for a newbie, I love to learn.
