i am newish to posting here but I have been lurking for a while (VERY FUN! and refreshing!!). my name is melffy and I love digital art and needlefelting, I like to also step my toes into coding (I am a fetus, not a baby with it haha), blender and pixel arts. (also have a bachelors degree in psychology :o)
My favourite games are animal crossing & pikmin, also monster hunter and tomodachi life (and fantasy life, another life haha).
i like more things but my favourite pikmin is of the yellow variety.

Hello everyone! I go by Gnee. I grew up on forums in the mid 2000s as a kid, and some of my favorite memories entail me and my friends all making a bunch of our own forums and joining each other's all the while meeting on larger ones. Message boards are a huge part of my memories growing up, and it's sad they've largely gone away- which is what makes this particular site so appealing, especially with the way it does things. I won't wax poetic about the way things have become because I'm sure I'd be preaching to the choir. 

In my spare time, I moonlight as an artist/game developer on a two-man project called Eulogy of an Insect. As far as creating art goes, I enjoy finding ways to combine digital and traditional art mediums. I have a bachelor's degree in computer animation, and worked in the game industry for a *very* brief time, although it was just on sports titles... nothing remotely interesting. (To me, at least) However, the experience was really special while it lasted. I couldn't be happier to be away from that line of work now though, and am currently working on finishing my final semester as I complete my new degree.

I really love traditionally animated films, and every time I find a relatively obscure new gem it's a treat as movies like this are simply a lost art now. From movies like Angel's Egg to Ralph Bakshi's filmography, I love em all. Of course, I do occasionally enjoy some modern things, but I'm generally not a watcher of long series nor do I keep up with new releases very well. My favorite kind of music is industrial rock. KMFDM, Skinny Puppy, My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult, etc etc. I enjoy gaming- surprise surprise- but especially love RPGs, it's just hard to get enough of them despite how long they are. At the time of posting this, I've been playing Shin Megami Tensei V Vengeance and Princess Crown.

Hi, like many here I prefer forums over social media since that's what the internet used when I was first using it, and I was just thinking that websites should have more specialization and friction, so this forum appealed me with its focus and verification. Already been aware of the web revival movement and have a neocities website about my favorite Aztec deity.

Currently working on the final stretch of a web serial styled like the guide and script of a fighting game about my yet to be published fantasy setting (I only learned about the new net art movement today, but I feel it fits within that), and making very gradual progress on designing a real fighting game. Would also like to refine my website and make some more, like character shrines.

My main hobbies are reading, writing, and playing video games. If you couldn't tell already I care a lot about the story telling of fighting games and other games where it goes neglected even by most developers. I am into a lot of niche stuff in general, but also don't shy from the mainstream, though the way I enjoy it also tends to be off the beaten path enough to make me feel isolated from big fandoms regardless.

xD I can relate to this so much. The 'Closed on Mondays' thing is charming, but I have ADD. If I decide to finally do something and it's not immediately available it'll be gone from my mind again for at least a week. : P Also the other stuff about how you did vs. how you want to engage with the internet sounds very familiar.
