ahh thanks! i still keep in my request for a specific setting for disabling custom font styles though. replies in the newspaper theme are much easier to read, but theres other things in it that make the rest of the forum harder for me to read/navigate

Not sure if it would help, but I have a Stylus style meant to be used with Newspaper to make it easier for me to read. I don't know if the changes I made would appeal to you, but they generally up the contrast and font size a little. It's not perfect, but....

i just joined, but figured i would bring up something i noticed when registering. i don't use a screenreader and i usually don't need alt text, but when using the inspect tool on the navigation icons (the house, cat, globe, etc) i noticed that the alt text for the images only give the text of the link (home, entrance, wiki, etc)

usually this would be fine! it's nice that the alt text is there. however, the anti-spam question when registering was "what animal is in the register icon?" as far as i can tell, there would be no way for a screenreader user to answer this question. and i feel like that's a pretty immediate turn-off for anyone who wants to join that needs alt text, if the signup process isn't even accessible.

maybe change the question to something that doesn't require looking at an image. like "is a melon a fruit or a vegetable?" or something. idk.

Hmmm its a good point; but the thing is that a question like that can be easily solved by a basic AI enhanced bot (they are all AI enchanted these days) - the illegibility of the register question is exactly why it works.

However noted; I will think upon it; thanks for the report! Maybe I can make the alt text somehow suggestive of the answer without giving it away!

How about changing the icon of the theme? The icon made me assume that it was in black and white.

Two small feature ideas

• ability to display a different e-mail from the one you signed up with on the e-mail section of the user profile
• ability to set badges as hidden rather than having to delete them(?) to hide them

Idea I had while browsing. Perhaps a place to add your mastodon tag with the other social media? It's usually formatted as @user@instance.com :)

There is a thread on the Greetings board for Mastodon links! Iv never put a profile tag for them.. err.. welll.. because sometimes its better to be messy and inconsistent

I would suggest just hiding your e-mail and putting whatever e-mail you want in your About text area!

Do you mean the post count of users or the actual posts?

You can click "show posts" on someone profile to see their actual posts. As for the post count - we actually removed this because it seemed to prioritise quantity over quality and some people were stressed by it (although you can still see it on your surf club listing, click the anchor next to your name)

I completely forgot about being able to do that  I also quite like not having a numerical value attached to my activity, Thanks for clarifying!
