Just a small request, but I think that stickied threads should be bold!
It will make it easier to differentiate them from the normal threads.

This is a great idea! I tried bold but it was a bit intense so I made them a lighter yellow - hopefully that helps

Now that's much better! I actually happened to see when you tried bold as I suggested + another font but it didn't look very good haha. I was waiting for you to be done experimenting

A venting area so people who are having a hard day can just have a place to vent.

There are lots of places online to do that (Like Twitter ) but this forum is not one of them - in general I think online venting is not a good idea; if a person has emotional troubles, its unsafe for them to publish online and it can be harmful to others.

This forum is only for discussing the web, games, arts and related casual interests that people enjoy; it should not have anything heavier than that!

Here is my list of feature requests, mostly related to the "Post reply" and "New topic" form.

- When posting a reply or a new topic, the current main and sub categories should be presented and clear at the top of the page. (Example: Interests Zone > Chat & General Interests).

- Give us the ability to highlight specific reply text and QUOTE!

- When previewing a post, the user's chosen default color, font and font size should display in the output.

- The "Insert Hyperlink" button seems to have no default use case as URLs are already automatically converted to hyperlink. It should be modified for alias use case instead. So this:

- A quick BBCode guide/cheatsheet at the bottom of the post form may be helpful! (Define img dimensions and alignments, etc.)

- Let me set "Male" in my profile and contribute to the Male to Female Ratio in Stats!

Thanks for this; lets see - I can see off the bat that some of these are quite hard to do; but I agree with almost all of them.

• I can look into this one; its within the realm of my knowledge!
• This is more complex - this forum is VERY old duck taped code; but I did find this mod which might be want you want?
• Iv been meaning to fix this one, thanks for the reminder!
• Im not sure how the BBCode engine works, but in theory it might not be to hard to change this! *
• There is a link to a cheat sheet on every page! - but point taken
• I will try and remove the gender section from stats! I didn't know it was there! (In general I don't think gender selection is necessary on this forum)

For number six, this probably goes without saying, but I think it shouldn't be an option unless we're able to fill in whatever we like. I know that would probably mess up the stats page, but only having male and female seems a bit problematic.

If anything, preferred pronouns would be more useful.

And yeah, I see how the url change would break existing posts, unless you could specifically code a fallback for when there's nothing on the right side of the equals sign.

Does anyone use the url tags this way though? These days people just copy paste:

No tag needed.

And yeah I do agree that the male-female ratio stats isn't necessary. However, it would be nice to have it in my own profile just to complete that basic ASL, you know? Completely optional of course.

I do not agree that preferred pronouns is an agreeable solution for all people. If anything, both should exist!

I'm nonbinary and I think "male", "female", "other" and "no answer" is okay honestly. The vast majority of people will be binary anyway, let alone cis, and for statistical purposes that's more than O.K.

Upcoming feature plans or ideas:

• Improved post editor - I find the one we have really clunky
• Better signature editor - this is an old request
• Better media embedding and support for more sites - currently only YT works
• Better Private Message system - the one we have works but its not great
• Better quote system - Its annoying to quote right now
• System to save draft posts - Good for people with multiple computers
• Chatbox/Shoutbox? - This is another old request
• Fun awards system - Fun!! FUN!!!
• Figure out a way for people to embed iFrames for things like webgardens - You'd think this would be easy!

Maybe if it's possible you could way to disable certain javascript?

It's just because somehow the forum page has gotten slower on my laptop and I'm pretty sure it's the snow JS effect or something else that's slowing it down. (it's a gaming laptop so it's definitely not an issue on my end!)

Yeah just confirmed it I using inspect element I deleted the snow script and the flowers and it got rid of the lag as soon as I did that.

I have temporeraly removed the script pending a better solution - even my computer seems happier now
