vaguely figured out how to sequester chunks of my code so that i can have templates so that altering how the page looks will update across the site... for the vague idea of "what if i want to change something later!?" which is kind of hilarious because i don't really plan to. change anything. but

converting everything over to the new system will take an age but i will feel... so much better!!!

For my site i'm working on a Christmas theme (gotta have it ready for November 1st), as well as another page dedicated to another OC of mine. I just finished a new ref sheet for said character today!

Outside of my website when it comes to personal works I've been doing a bit of pixel art, something I tend to come back to every couple of years.

I'm weaning myself off of Google Analytics. It's not that I'm interested in tracking people, I just want to see what they are doing on my sites so I can make them better. Google Analytics is mostly for commercial sites with goal setting and ROIs. The relatively new GA4 is worse.

Still a ways to go and very much a work in progress but I'm working my way through self-hosted FOSS log analyzers as listed on Wikpedia.

Currently, I'm working on cleaning up some pages on my site. It's still a bit clunky and hard to parse imo. With the Search team, we're trying to get in contact with the Lost Media Wiki to see if they have any information regarding anything we're looking for!

i suppose this is less of a current project and more of a recent accomplishment, but i was experimenting on my site with trying to have the sidebar's html stored in one place vs being replicated on all pages of the site (so that I can play with it and update it easier without having to manually change it on every page)... i'm a major novice when it comes to coding, so i was stuck!! ;-; but!! i've figured it out!
through a combination of iframes, css, and sheer will power, i can update my sidebar on every page from one html file now!! yippee!!!! (if anyone wants more specific details for their own site they can dm me :3)

@testtubesterone You'll thank yourself a million times over for doing that. I had fixed links on my site for ages before I figured out how to do what you did. I used a multi-file search and replace program then upload all the altered files again and it still took ages.

@bisray thank you for the sweet reply! :0 this still seems like a pretty smart solution compared to what i was doing before, lol! i'm primarily using the neocities in-browser html editor,, so updating that section manually required a lot of copy-pasting and patience -_-

I'm working on a new gallery for the models I've built over the years. I have quite a few photos on my still life table but need some direction on how to improve them via Photoshop to better emphasize the lighting. My uncle is proficient in this, but I haven't been able to get ahold of him for this as of yet. Here's an example photo from the gallery:

Currently I've been studying music theory and compostion, and also composing stuff.
My google drive is full of songs I've made. I don't plan of relasing most of them, but I will eventually compile some of it into an full LP on Bandcamp.
