Hello! I'm Sam! It's nice to meet everyone!
ABOUT ME: I'm a funny pal (they/them pronouns) that loves art, biology, and meeting new people!
I'm a beginner to HTML and CSS, and I'm trying to make my own website! I think old web revivl is super cool, and I've always felt restricted by modern social media.
MY INTERESTS: I love all sorts of arts, crafts, and learning. I love horror and horror media, mysteries, otome isekai stories, and lately been really into petsims... I love a lot of things! I mainly do digital art, but I've been getting into pixel art, sewing, pottery/working with clay, drawing, painting, and more! I like weird art, outsider art, indie comics,
Mainstream (?) Media Favorites: Phantom of the Opera, Wolf Children, Puella Magi Madoka Magica, The Lout of the Count's Family (webnovel), The Cat Returns/When Marnie was There, Lord of the Rings, I'll Be The Matriarch In This Life, The Alchemist, and more!
MY GOALS: I want to build my website from the ground up, learn HTML/CSS, read some classics, play more games, watch some fun movies/shows. My site is a bit embarrassing because I was initially using a free layout, but I decided to take it all down and remake the site so I actually understand the code. I want to make my site usable on mobile, and also friendly and accessible to those with disabilities. I want to be able to navigate my site with keyboard, have consistent alt text, and maybe a readable theme? It's very ambitious to do myself, but I think if I start from the ground up with it in mind it'll be easier to implement as I learn more about HTML!
My favorite thing about making things for the web is the community. I love seeing how people interact with art online, and collaborating with others. Mainly, I feel like it's a wonderful form of self-expression!
