Hey! I'm CJ. I'm 20 years old. I'm currently studying computer science at college, but I also have a lot of other creative hobbies like art and graphic design. I picked up Neocities back in 2020 just to make a simple website that was basically a glorified linktree/carrd-type of site, since I still used Twitter during that time. I later moved away from that site, and most social media platforms other than Discord, so, in 2025, I decided to use that as an excuse to really flesh out my Neocities site. I later realized that to get people to see your site on Neocities, you actually had to engage with the community, and that made me want to find new connections on other indie web spaces, which lead me to here.

I like video games, manga, alt rock, and general cool shit!

Hello and it's nice to meet you all! My handle here is Sphinx. I have been thinking a lot about how much I miss old forums. They were so much fun back in the day and you really got to know people there after a while. I am kind of old by general internet demographics standards but I hope it's ok! I am slowly discovering this "old web" revival and I am loving it very much!

I used to make websites on geocities and homestead long ago and only had a basic understanding of html. I used to use a builder called TrellixWeb that is now long gone but man I loved that thing. When I was in college Dreamweaver was all the rage and they taught us it was the "industry standard" but I doubt that it's even relevant anymore. In fact after I graduated there was this other thing called AdobeMUSE that was pretty neat but it's defunct now I think. Nothing stays relevant for very long but I guess that's what makes coding from scratch so useful. It will always be in style, lol! I'm hoping I can learn how to make sites again but I don't know if/when I'll have the time.

I joined mostly so that I can share artwork here as I make it. I'm trying to get back into that too. Please forgive my ramblings and have a nice day!

i've been trying to find a forum to join for some time that i liked the vibes of. i've been aware of this one for some time, but for some reason, never thought to make an account? i was a little nervous i wouldn't get in... but to my surprise, i was approved!

i run the site The Sea of Love, but please be aware my site is for an adult audience only! i also do not host my site on neocities, but instead on my friend's server overseas!

a little more about me: i am 26 years old, i use they/them pronouns. i am aroaceflux, but also polyam with a couple different partners (if you ask in good faith, i can happily attempt to explain how this works LOL). in addition to being a webmaster, i am also an artist of the 2D and 3D variety, a writer of fiction and blog posts, a gamer, and a VTuber! i am also neurodivergent, being auDHD and a DID system, amongst other diagnoses. i also suffer from chronic illnesses, and i use the spoons theory to measure my day to day capabilities.

i will also note that while most of what i do is NSFW art, i do plenty of SFW stuff too. i kind of generally just make art based on whatever im hyperfixated on at the moment.

that said, i thank you all for having me, and i hope we can get along! i dont bite, so feel free to talk to me! (im actually more likely to be scared of you than you are scared of me haha)

I'm Beetle! they/them (strongly preferred) or she/her, and twenty-two years on this planet, at the time of posting.

I've been off-again-on-again trying to learn to code in Neocities with varying degrees of success, and have a website here. I hope to put my hobbies and, once I get back into my groove post-college, art stuff on there. Maybe a blog, but I'm historically terrible with keeping a consistent log or diary of any sort, so we'll see... 

I joined this forum to make friends and connections online while also trying to build a more healthy approach as to the length and quality of time on the internet. I'm trying to build more of a daily routine for myself - the "stay logged in for x time" feature and offline Mondays really help with that!

I really love dragons (read Wings of Fire growing up and loved it, currently reading the Temeraire series), crafts (into bracelet making at the moment and learning to sew), nature walks, video games, and, of course, beetles. The dragon in my PFP is based off the Green June Beetle, found in the eastern US and Canada. Eventually, I'd like to start writing and drawing my own comics.

I also do graphic design work. This username and general online presence is meant to be detached from my offline person, as a fun thing just for me, so I don't link anything publicly that doesn't use this username. However, if you'd like some examples of my work or something made for your site, I'd be happy to send you my portfolio privately!

I am 0x0 or esther (she/her), 24, I am a software engineer and like to make art c:
I mainly make art around dealing with mental illness as a way to cope, mainly digital art and (bad) poetry.

I like playing games, listening to music and programming things that could be of help to others, I do other little crafty things like soldering my own jewelry, making keyboards or sowing plushies.

for the reason why I joined: when I was roughly 13 I started getting into tech things, first via old hacking forums and IRC, then expanded out from there into other avenues, like creating little scripts and websites.I eventually got a software engineering job and been doing so ever since. from there I mixed my love of tech with my forever interest in art and started making my own things.

I was missing the old communities I was once apart of, missing the creativity that is further being pushed into corners of the internet rather than being the internet, and spreading knowledge online.

if you would like any help with learning how to program things, or like setup a linux distro, give me a shout and I shall try my best to help you.

I've been a computer nerd since I was about 6. I'm just about 29 now and my interests include web + graphic design, retro computing, FOSS, linux, programming, and computers in general (especially repairing and modifying them)

I also love music, in particular (but not limited to) various genres of what people seem to be calling "alt" now (goth, emo, scene, metal, I'm not picky, and I don't really place myself in any one 'subculture', cause trying to live up to a label sounds exhausting. I just want to like what I like) I also love DIY fashion, sewing, and generally making useful things with my hands.

I'm a big halloween nut and I consider it a year-round holiday. My favorite colors are green and purple.

hello everyone my name is mattie (they/he) i'm a 29 year old artist who kinda lost my spark and am trying to get it back as well as make friends with similar interests :-) i was on forums a lot as a kid and i missed them a lot so i was happy to discover they're still around!

i like drawing, writing, crocheting, and coding though i haven't really done much of that since my neopets days many many years ago. i'm looking to rehabilitate my computer skills and start making fun websites and digital art projects that go beyond drawing alone and maybe even learn how to make games  

my goals for now are to get my sea legs back when it comes to drawing and coding and learn enough to make a neocities site about me and my art and my interests. and maybe learn linux finally too hahaha but that one's a bonus goal

i'm kind of in the middle of finding my digital identity (and tbh my irl identity too!) and i think spending time here is going to be a lot of fun ^^

I found that doodling on art board sites and/or posting on pages that aren't social media takes all the pressure off. It makes drawing fun again just like it used to be!
