Hey! I'm CJ. I'm 20 years old. I'm currently studying computer science at college, but I also have a lot of other creative hobbies like art and graphic design. I picked up Neocities back in 2020 just to make a simple website that was basically a glorified linktree/carrd-type of site, since I still used Twitter during that time. I later moved away from that site, and most social media platforms other than Discord, so, in 2025, I decided to use that as an excuse to really flesh out my Neocities site. I later realized that to get people to see your site on Neocities, you actually had to engage with the community, and that made me want to find new connections on other indie web spaces, which lead me to here.

I like video games, manga, alt rock, and general cool shit!

Hello and it's nice to meet you all! My handle here is Sphinx. I have been thinking a lot about how much I miss old forums. They were so much fun back in the day and you really got to know people there after a while. I am kind of old by general internet demographics standards but I hope it's ok! I am slowly discovering this "old web" revival and I am loving it very much!

I used to make websites on geocities and homestead long ago and only had a basic understanding of html. I used to use a builder called TrellixWeb that is now long gone but man I loved that thing. When I was in college Dreamweaver was all the rage and they taught us it was the "industry standard" but I doubt that it's even relevant anymore. In fact after I graduated there was this other thing called AdobeMUSE that was pretty neat but it's defunct now I think. Nothing stays relevant for very long but I guess that's what makes coding from scratch so useful. It will always be in style, lol! I'm hoping I can learn how to make sites again but I don't know if/when I'll have the time.

I joined mostly so that I can share artwork here as I make it. I'm trying to get back into that too. Please forgive my ramblings and have a nice day!

i've been trying to find a forum to join for some time that i liked the vibes of. i've been aware of this one for some time, but for some reason, never thought to make an account? i was a little nervous i wouldn't get in... but to my surprise, i was approved!

i run the site The Sea of Love, but please be aware my site is for an adult audience only! i also do not host my site on neocities, but instead on my friend's server overseas!

a little more about me: i am 26 years old, i use they/them pronouns. i am aroaceflux, but also polyam with a couple different partners (if you ask in good faith, i can happily attempt to explain how this works LOL). in addition to being a webmaster, i am also an artist of the 2D and 3D variety, a writer of fiction and blog posts, a gamer, and a VTuber! i am also neurodivergent, being auDHD and a DID system, amongst other diagnoses. i also suffer from chronic illnesses, and i use the spoons theory to measure my day to day capabilities.

i will also note that while most of what i do is NSFW art, i do plenty of SFW stuff too. i kind of generally just make art based on whatever im hyperfixated on at the moment.

that said, i thank you all for having me, and i hope we can get along! i dont bite, so feel free to talk to me! (im actually more likely to be scared of you than you are scared of me haha)

I'm Beetle! they/them (strongly preferred) or she/her, and twenty-two years on this planet, at the time of posting.

I've been off-again-on-again trying to learn to code in Neocities with varying degrees of success, and have a website here. I hope to put my hobbies and, once I get back into my groove post-college, art stuff on there. Maybe a blog, but I'm historically terrible with keeping a consistent log or diary of any sort, so we'll see... 

I joined this forum to make friends and connections online while also trying to build a more healthy approach as to the length and quality of time on the internet. I'm trying to build more of a daily routine for myself - the "stay logged in for x time" feature and offline Mondays really help with that!

I really love dragons (read Wings of Fire growing up and loved it, currently reading the Temeraire series), crafts (into bracelet making at the moment and learning to sew), nature walks, video games, and, of course, beetles. The dragon in my PFP is based off the Green June Beetle, found in the eastern US and Canada. Eventually, I'd like to start writing and drawing my own comics.

I also do graphic design work. This username and general online presence is meant to be detached from my offline person, as a fun thing just for me, so I don't link anything publicly that doesn't use this username. However, if you'd like some examples of my work or something made for your site, I'd be happy to send you my portfolio privately!
