I really wouldn't recommend the Chicken Smoothie forums since in my experience people tend to bully or create something like lolcows out of people on Tumblr based on their forum posts. Most virtual pet communities have semi-active forums but can be toxic with a lot of off-site bullying.

This post reminded me that I used to be on a daemon forum and I even managed to find my posts from 2010! What a blast from the past, I'm glad so many of the forums are still up and can serve as archives of sorts. And I'm so happy that the topic of daemons is still alive!


I can't offer much for the topic alone but while I don't go there anymore, I know that a lot of Warrior Cats forums, and very likely other Rp/PBF focused ones, are still very much active. Maybe I should revisit those too, they were fun and chill most of the time.

i admittedly have not spent much time on it, but there is a relatively new forum called Teensyangl which focuses on chibifur (a small cutesy type of furry). with all respect to the owner i do not think it is SUPER well organized but i think it's a fun concept and i wanted to share it in case it sounds similarly appealing to any of you :-) it's not rly active but i think that is partially due to people just not knowing of its existence

EvThreads is an evanescence forum i frequent a lot!

Jet Moto Central is a forum about the jet moto games and it's ran by the same guy who admins ET. i know nothing about the games but maybe someone here might be interested :)

Gothic.net has a forum, but it seems to be partially taken over by bots. there's lots of posts about gambling that look like they weren't made by real people which means the forum is probably not being well moderated, so do exercise some caution.

VampyFreaks is like a revival site for vampire freaks, it looks pretty inactive though.

buut it seems melonland really is the top pick out of all these other forums so far, lol

the psycho helmet forums are a mob psycho 100 themed forum with various offtopic boards :)

It's hard for me to find art forums for some reason but one that I really like is Lettuce Craft forums. There's other forums for illustrations but it's nice to be able to hang out with other artisans.

Flight Rising also has a forum which looks active, but I'm not into the game enough to hang out there.

I tried seeing if the deviantART forum was decent, it's honestly a little sad in there.

If you want a tech-ey and privacy sort of forum there's a little one hosted by RejectConvenience over at https://rejectconvenience.com/forum/ I've taken a look around, I'm fairly new to this side of the web so I don't know a huge amount of what's around but I've also started messing with hosting my own at https://forum.possiblyaxolotl.com/, though it's still very early and small at the moment :)

I've recently left social media and have been having fun using Melonland and the Pokemon Community fourms in place of them.

Places like these honestly feel a lot better, healthier, actually social and downright more fun then what i used to use. so ive been on the hunt looking for more fourms of things i like, but ive been having trouble finding many websites and fourms like that..

so i was just wondering what a good place to look for fourms is? how/where do you find fourms?

If you like video games, you should check out the forums for the podcast show Insert Credit. They are a cool group of folks who run a chill community of like-minded gamers and enthusiasts. Reminds me a lot of the folks that frequent these parts of the net. :)

If you want to go even more retro, and are fine with setting up some software, USENET is pretty fun IMO! Eternal-September is a really nice (free) server, and some mail programs (mutt, thunderbird/betterbird, seamonkey) have built in readers too!
