Right now, I'm cookin' away on my cosplay gallery. I'm trying to work on the new look for the index.https://wolfkitty42.nekoweb.org/cosplaygallery/cosplayindex.html Unfortunately, I'm having a weird issue... For some reason, the image + Text aren't going into their div? I'm not really sure what the problem is. If anyone has advice or spots the bug happening, please let me know! I have no clue what's causing the issue. Also don't mind the magenta haha. It's just so I can see the dimensions right now.
My goal is to finish the index, then move onto the various characters. I'm probably going to have a miscellaneous gallery, and a couple dedicated galleries for characters I cosplay more often. I want the dedicated galleries to be themed around the character.

One of my sites is Street Fighter Paradise and it's a fan site for the old Street Fighter table-top RPG put out by White Wolf way back in 1994. It's also where I host my fan-made 20th Anniversary edition of the game I put out way back in 2015. Anyways, lately I've been scrubbing through all of the old fan sites of the game so I can update my Links page and of course, being so old, the game has a lot of sites that used to be on GeoCities or are otherwise dead links. Fortunately, the Wayback Machine exists, so you can still link to these sites. Among the old sites I found, though, were two sites associated with friends of mine: Goutetsu's Street Fighter Role Playing page was hosted on Tripod and now is full of a bunch of spammy injected ad scripts, and Street Fighter Revised was a page that used to be hosted on the web space provided by my dial-up ISP! I had a friend that used it. So, I decided to download my friend's Tripod site and scrape out all of the ad junk, then I rendered his MIDI files to mp3s and put them in modern audio tags so they'd play again. He had some old Java applet to render a menu, so I worked out what I thought it did and reimplemented it in straight HTML, and now it resides under my web space. I let him know so he could host it all himself again if he ever wanted to. With the site from my old ISP, I found a program that lets you download sites from the Wayback Machine, then put it all under my site as well. Just preserving some stuff. Then, the Street Fighter RPG scene chats on a Facebook Group and I told them about this, and I encouraged members to dig up their old sites if they had one, and to host them on Neocities (or any other free host). Surprisingly, I was able to find someone who had saved all of their various RPG sites from back in the day and he tossed them all up, so that felt pretty neat. He had pages for Street Fighter, Mekton, Fuzion, Cyberpunk 2020 and Mutants and Masterminds. So that's awesome. It's cool to see old sites come back to life.

oh, i just love when people are able to revive parts of their internet activity from years ago, and it must have felt so great to contribute to that with and for them! i commend you for that, it's so lovely and warm. --- i am proud of my new neocities color scheme! spent half a day updating it. my website is barely getting started and really ambitious, but i'm really proud of the aesthetics so far, after months and months of it looking rather plain! i still have a lot of ideas for it, but i just keep looking at it excitedly and tweaking little things here and there. and i wish i could find a way to integrate more blue and purple into it.. but i feel like it wouldn't work that well anymore. oh well! super happy about being back on working at it after a while.
