Ooo, cool! I need to play on the server again, it's been a while for me. Is the library in spawn? Or is it somewhere else?

who's iron leggings and iron pickaxe are these? i got them from a mining trip.

the leggings are named "arsenicCatnip's Greed" and the pickaxe is named "Absentmind's Whale" and both are enchanted.
i wanna give them back - i only put on the leggings to fight a hoard of mobs but otherwise they're both fine as i found them. a skeleton was holding said pickaxe and i'm not sure if a mob was wearing the leggings or if they were just dropped :P



also i'm building a railway thing out to the countryside since i have to run so much and the railway goes all the way down the desert!
it's still under construction but it'd be a great help if others could chime in :D

it was late but now its the morning I've been having to work hard to finish up on school so it was nice to take a break and play on the server you guys should come say hi when you get the chance

also where is everyone getting glow stone from? I haven't seen any clerics anywhere in the world and I'm not even sure if villagers are in this version I think using 1.5.2 was ill-advised. 1.8 (2014) is still kinda a throwback but it still has a lot of the better features and blocks that made the game a little easier and better I think if their was any chance we could change what version the server runs on then that would be the best not being able to water log stairs or make smooth stone is really annoying along with a lot of other things but its just a thought that I had I'm still enjoying my time on the server for sure

idk whos they are but I took the pick since I really wanted it and I didn't have any iron tools at the time I replaced it with 10 golden apples and a chest plate along with the rest of my gold if they want it back then they can have it back I was definitely able to get my dimonds so I'm good now that I Got a chance to skip progression they can also just have the stuff I left to along with the pick

I think I saw that railway or at least the bridge for it I think its close to my house, I might be able to help,p but I think it would be a good idea if we made an iron farm if that's possible, that way we aren't so desperate for iron

have the person PM or join up with me I still have it and I don't plan on using it anymore, especially now that I know they lost it on accident!!!!

You put cobble stone in an oven (is this different in other versions I don't remember it ever changing?) - there is a rail to the nether-portal from spawn.

This will prob never happen - 1.5 to 1.6 saw the UUID changeover, this was basically where all players are identified by UUIDs instead of usernames ~ we have about 30-ish plugins on the server and all of them are pre-UUID plugins (and some are entirely custom coded) so it would be a big job updating past 1.6. On top of that the world is a 1.5 world, so new blocks and features would not be added to it and my goal with this server is to never do a reset! On top of that texture packs are totally different between versions and so are mods! More than all that though; 1.5.2 is just as fun as older or newer versions when it comes to the core of Minecraft, it's what you make of it.

Mobs on this server drop custom items and rare collectables I think when the server was first setup it was configured to name items after everyone on the forum upto that point, so you'll see items named after forum members at that time

stone and smooth stone are two different things!!!!!!!!

I'm not worried about it I just wanted it for a build its ok I knew that you could mine glow stone in the nether its just very inefficient bc the cleric will sell you whole blocks of it

There are plenty of solutions here We could set up a server shop that sells glowstone for a set amount of Fe (which you can earn by selling crops).

And I've never seen that kind of block before! People used to call natural stone smooth stone, bug I guess the meaning has shifted over time

i remember playing old MCPE and i remember - regular stone works well for "smooth stone" (i actually used to call it that before 1.14 lmao) but that and the smooth stone slabs (lighter more like modern smooth stone) are made from three regular stone in a row in a crafting table.

also yea glowstone is available in the nether ! it's on the nether roof in glowing clumps and you can just pillar up

ah okay ! that's interesting.
especially since the ravine i was in was explored up to a certain point, i suspected two players had died there and most their stuff had despawned

Toponyms

So I am digging a tunnel to make a railway to my island in order to make it more accessible and thought of naming the tunnel as well as the ocean that surrounds my island but then I started overthinking about whether it already had a name 

If I recall correctly then the world is called Loka, but are there any specific parts of the map that have any names to them?

As I have only recently joined, I am unaware of any toponyms and would love to know if there have been assigned names to specific regions of the landscape somewhere on the map and especially so around my base

There are not but its a very good idea and maybe something we could flesh out in the new world building board as a community project

Other than Loka for the world, Spawn Town (being unimpressively named) and a few generic names like the Desert City, Desert Rail etc nothing is universally named.

I tend to refer to things such as "the big stupid sea next to spawn" and "the big stupid sandy bit next to spawn" and "the big stupid hilly area when you leave spawn"

I finally got it set up based on the tutorial, and for some reason everything looks... like this!



The hues seem like they're inverted, and my custom skin's body is all black!

Also it freezes if I try to open it in full screen mode.

Still played for 1-2 hours and had fun

yes plz do that Glow stone is hard to find and really risky to mine and its an essential light source in this version of MC

I'm loving the server a lot and its really amazing to give you to hear me out your guys are so nice
