I feel like you took the words out of my mouth with this one. I wanted to like this game so bad when it came out but it felt like they designed so many features with the intention of making you frustrated. Every time I felt like I was finally past a tutorial section, they'd surprise me with another. It resulted in the gameplay itself feeling like a really long tech demo.

I'm glad to hear the Switch version is significantly improved; I may have to pick it up.

I remember the last time I tried to replay the Wii version, I gave up before leaving Skyloft. It was just so unbearably slow. I'm much further than that now and can confirm it's way better on Switch. It's still not my favourite Zelda game (that will always be Wind Waker), but if you're curious and have the money to spare, I can finally say I recommend it.

My spouse recently bought me My Time at Sandrock, because I loved the first one, My Time at Portia. It's really good so far, even though it's in early access. Has the same general theme as the first one and acts like a 3D Stardew Valley with more focus on building and quests rather than gardening, but it's a bit more polished so far. One thing I like about the series is the setting, which is technically post-apocalyptic, but is set so far after the catastrophe that humans have rebuilt again and are now agrarian. Kind of unusual, and it's an interesting story, but you don't have to pay it much attention if you don't feel like it.

Like almost everyone these days, I've been playing Cult of the Lamb! I find the actual fighting kind of underwhelming (sometimes the 2D art style makes it difficult to tell how close to an enemy's hitbox I actually am) but for the most part it's very fun!

I've also been playing a cute little game called An Airport For Aliens Currently Run By Dogs.

I originally discovered this game through a streamer I watch (hollow_tones on twitch) and immediately stopped watching her play it because I knew I had to play it for myself. It creates such a sweet, caring, melancholy and goofy world that I find extremely charming. I haven't played a lot of it yet, but I don't think it's a very long game either.

I've seen the trailer for the Airport run by dogs game! It looked very silly and cute! If it's good, I may pick it up sometime.

Because I have a very short attention span, I switched from Skyward Sword to the GTA Trilogy ":grin:efinitive" Edition.

Despite its reputation, I don't think this collection is that bad. Yes, the games are ugly, especially compared to what some of the PC mods were able to achieve. But the original games were quite ugly too. The mods replaced the original art style with something more realistic, but these remasters just update the old style with an AI upscaled version. So even though the games don't look as good as what modders achieved, I think it's truer to the original aesthetic.

I also haven't experienced many bugs, and definitely none that are game breaking. I know the trilogy released in a really sorry state, but it looks like they've fixed most of it. There are a couple of textures I've found floating above the ground, and one cutscene in Vice City had no audio, but that's it so far.

The big upgrade is to the controls (for the console versions). I recently tried to replay the old PS2 versions of GTA 3 and Vice City, and the controls are really outdated. It's like trying to play a console FPS today without dual analogue control. The remaster plays pretty much like GTA V.

I managed to get Arceus in Pokemon Legends Arceus so my current goal is shiny hunting, and I've managed to catch about 10 or so thus far!

Final Fantasy XIV Online. I've been slightly obsessed with it and have lost nearly 2 months' worth of playtime to it since April (send help!). I like it a lot as you might guess, and I've made a good few friends there.

I've gotten really attatched to my Warrior of Light too, I didn't really expect myself to but now he's my favourite stress ball to show the horrors to.

I recently got through the modernized port of Sonic CD and subsequently went all-in on mods - besides the obligatory Knuckles/Amy addons, the Randomizer both works at a mechanical level (remarkably few game-breaking glitches), and really fits in with the theme of chaotic temporal shenanigans! For extra chaos, the palette randomizer actually looks good more than half the time (certain design elements share palettes with characters providing a baseline of color coordinations), and allowing random water levels can lead to some fascinating challenge scenarios!

I finished GTA: Vice City on the weekend, officially making it the first GTA game I have ever completed.

I remember playing Sonic CD back when it was new. It was one of the coolest games I'd ever seen. The final boss is permanently etched into my brain, and I still listen to the (American) soundtrack every once in a while.

I'm currently going through a couple of pretty long games -- Final Fantasy 7, and (replaying) Yakuza Kiwami. There are a few other games that I'm going through, I think? I've more or less abandoned them, sadly! I really need to stop starting games, only to abandon them lol. It's a really bad habit that I really do want to break out of :ohdear:

Hopefully, I can start finishing games again :chill:

Iv been playing A Plague Tale: Requiem; I never played the first game so I went into it blind; ACTUALLY I went into it not expecting to play it at all; I just wanted to test the graphics on my laptop :omg:k: So at about 8pm I decided to play for 20 mins to test it; the next time I looked at the clock it was 3am... Its a compelling game with really enjoyable voice acting; even if some of the action sections are a bit repetitive. The whole thing is like a dream/nightmare sequence and I really like that!

This but with GTA III, and instead of the weekend it was a few months ago. I've been playing every other GTA game I have a few missions at a time now, but the two I've spent the most time with are Liberty City Stories and Chinatown Wars. I play LCS on breaks during homework, while I play CTW whenever I feel like it. CTW might be my favorite game in the series right now, with Vice City being a close second.

I just started a new playthrough of Mass Effect 2 on the legendary edition. I skipped ME1 this time because it's my least favourite and is usually where I get stuck whenever I try to restart the series. It's just too dull and clunky compared to 2 and 3, so I haven't been able to get through it again.

I used the motion comic prelude to choose a few different options this time, like killing Wrex and saving the council, just for some variety.

I got hooked on Chinatown Wars for a while, but never finished it. I got too preoccupied by the drug market, buying low and selling high, and never did any story missions after that.

I played the first the last of us game and I got the second one but never got around to playing it lol  I will, I've just been busy. I enjoyed the first game quite a bit, I loved the story and the mechanics were really good. Hopefully, I'll actually get around to playing the second game sometime this year.

I've been playing Deep Rock Galactic a lot, although I still have to buy it since the free weekend is now over lol

It's refreshing to see a thriving game that doesn't make use of predatory monetization to keep players engaged, it's Just That Fun. (it's also very addicting...) rock and stone and such
